Help young conductors - from Sing for Pleasure - Mon 23 May 2016

I am contacting you with regard to our respected training programme for talented young musicians looking to pursue a career in choral conducting.

As you may know, the scheme has been running since 2013 and to date 17 Young Conducting Scholars have benefited from the high quality training, mentoring and support which is offered. They are now contributing to the sustained vibrancy of the choral tradition here in the UK, and we are immensely proud of their achievements.

This year, we are aiming to seek financial support for scholarship places through a number of channels; to this end, we have recently launched a crowdfunding project, details here:

Would the National Association of Choirs be willing to spread the word about the campaign to its membership in the near future? The project will close in about 5 weeks' time, and members - along with chorally-inclined friends and colleagues - might like the opportunity to support the scheme by making a pledge.
